Crystals

Crystals natural vibration resonate with our chakras (energy vortex's in the body) and can be used to heal. Like people, different crystals have different traits or personalities and can come in every color imaginable.

Amethyst is usually a dark to light purple color and is know to be a very powerful healing tool for each of our 7 major chakras including the crown chakra associated with the color purple.

I recently visited a crystal store here in Washington State and purchased a few of the hundreds of different crystals and minerals on display. One of the crystals I purchased is called Azurite. It's color is a mixture of teel and navy and is used to cleanse and activate the brow chakra (known as the third eye) to increase intuitive thought.

I strongly recommend visiting one of these stores and experiencing the energy these crystals posses within them. There are many books on crystals such as the 'crystal bible' filled with information to help you learn about the jewels you can find in mother earth.

It is used to remove negativity from the body and protects the soul during astrotravel. If you are to get Hematite, it is advised you do not use it for long periods of time or on places where inflamation is present. Hematite is also said to encourage one to decrease the use of vices such as smoking, over eating and other overindulgences.

Do you have any experience with those stones? My sister went to a region here in the NE of Brazil, that is well known for its crystals, but people aren't allowed to get them straight from the ground there any more, unless they have a permit. When she visited, the guide allowed them to pick a couple each and she brought me back a clear quartz. It's beautiful! :)

The jewelry in the link are beautiful but I like to keep things small and practical. I'm a leather, native american, hemp, hippie, kind of accessorie girl. Onefeather caught my eye when he mentioned Chrysocolla. It's beautiful. If I had any idea of it's healing properties I would have replaced the old bracelet I had with chrysocolla in it!

Thank you so much for your information on crystals............most people are not even aware of their power. Thanks for mentioning the Mayans............if anyone wants to go on a great vacation, the Mexican government sponsors tours of the ruins (not to mention the caves in Merida) and then ends the tour with a visit to the eastern shore of Mexico............a wonderful trip!!
