JK, JK, JK~ Eckhart is my buddy... i love that guy!!!  His messages totally resonate with me and have helped me on a very personal level.  For me, it was his "incessant reliance on the ego" that helped me to develop the awareness to differentiate between the ego and the heart. 

 

not too long ago, i couldnt hear or feel the different voices.  today, i have developed the life skills to differentiate the fear-based thoughts.  And good 'ol Eckhart was instrumental in helping me to develop the awareness of the importance of space, stillness and presence.  

 

Perhaps it's his experience of being lost, and then finding himself that makes him a great / effective teacher.  He is speaking from the standpoint of having been there and from his experience.   I feel him to be sincere and the real deal...  but thats my opinion, for what its worth:)

 

Abundance is a good thing... it's the law of attraction!  He was successful in reaching out and communicating, there was a need and he supplied the demand...he helped others, and in turn he was compensated... in abundance!!!

 

its co-creation, its the law of attraction, its the anatomy of energy,...

 

Love ya, JK!!!  You keep us on our toes!!!

Really liked your comments and appreciate the perspectives.  I feel like this global financial crisis is really more of a global spiritual crisis.  and its so evident that there is a SHIFT in-progress, financially and spirtually. 

 

Yes, Financial innovation has given rise to empowerment of the financiers, and they got and continue to be greedy. 

 

But WE have a duty to change our way of thinking!!!  on a personal level sometimes we have to loose ourselves before we wake up and realize we need to be "found".  Same goes for the global financial crisis.  its a wake up call for the collective to realize we are lost, and once each of us realize this on a personal level, the shift can begin. 

 

Living within our means, being accountable for our own actions financially, being concious to see through the manipulation of marketing to convince us that we need newer & better. 

 

to be comfortable within our own skin to be satisfied and happy with what we have.  to be secure enough within to let go of the need to "keep up" with the neighbors or whomever.  to work for what we need, to save for what we want, and preserve our soul capital by changing our perspective of  debt (loans, credit cards= i owe you's). 

 

see through the manipulations of marketing to influence our behavior.  stop priding ourselves on our credit score which is essentially a marketing tool that really just says how much debt you are able to carry based on your income... how much can you leverage yourself before you break or collapse.  a credit score isnt a sign of your financial health!  what happens if something on the exterior changes (loose your job, market crashes, etc)...are we able to survive on our own or are we at the mercy of the institutions?  we have given them the control and given them our power to control our lives.  we handed it to them on a silver platter, because we wanted more, and we wanted it now.  and to get more / now, comes with a financial pricetag AND and emotional procetag.

 

its not the fast food industy's fault that we are overweight, and its not the financial institutions fault (entirely) that we are in this crisis on a personal level.  we make the choice of what food we put in our mouth.  and we made choices to buy a $600k home on a $100k salary.  sure the banks said it was okay and "approved", but we ultimately made the choice and signed the agreement.  and when the conditions change, with the interest rates or we loose our job... then the SHIFT hits the fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

i beleive it has to get worse before it gets better.  thats how we wake up and its obvious we need change...and these are the prefect conditions, scenario for a ral shift to happen.  we have to coolectively get "back to the basics".  live within our means, save before we spend, become concious so that we see the financial implications of our relationship b/w ego satisfaction on our personal decisions.

 

I liked Esther's response to the question:  chill out and go to work.  focus on the things that are important to us and figure out how to satisfy the details of your life.  stop looking for someone else to solve it and figure out a way to bring our own self into balance. 

 

I'm going to keep affirming: its getting better, its better and it will be alright!!!
