Tantra, or more properly tantrika, is a diverse and rich spiritual tradition of the Indian sub-continent.

Tantra is a holistic approach to life by studying the Universe from the point of view of the individual. It draws upon all the sciences, namely astrology, numerology, astronomy, mathematics, geometry, physics, alchemy and chemistry.

In the Western world Tantra has come to mean spiritual sex or sexuality, and has almost become the generic term for all styles, such as traditions of spiritual and meditative sexuality. Tantra basically is a teaching of non-attachment. When we are attached to our action and its outcome we loose our freedom.

Amongst thousands of sadhakas and tens of millions of worshippers, fortunate are they who do Kali sadhana. Kali is the Mother of the Universe and of all shastra, quite certainly. Remembering Kali frees one from the fetters of a paœu.

This is exciting but it is interesting that especially here in the US, tantra is tantalizing because in our minds it is strictly about sex. I am eager to learn more from you and have others learn more about all the facets of Tantra :)
