"La dolce vita" ~ The Good Life.

Good food, good drink and good cheer. One of the fundamental ways of creating union and sharing is by bringing everyone together around the table, be it for breakfast, lunch, teatime or the evening repast. I would encourage the members of this group to keep the idea of themes in mind and if you don't see an existing discussion for a type of food or drink, create one and invite others to post their recipes along with your contribution. So, Kiddos, let's get cookin'!

Thanksgiving

We return thanks to our Mother, the Earth,
which sustains us.

We return thanks to the Rivers and Streams,
which supply us with water.

We return thanks to all Herbs,
which furnish medicines for the cure of our diseases.

We return thanks to the Moon and Stars,
which have given to us their light when the sun was

gone.

We return thanks to the Sun,
that has looked upon the earth with a beneficent eye.

Lastly, we return thanks to the Great Spirit,
in Whom is embodied all goodness,

and Who directs all things for the good of Her children.

~ Iroquois ~

Thank You Great Spirit for all the Abundance You Bring Into our Lives for Your Children and Their Keepers here on our Mother Earth.

D...actually I do eat meat so basically it's between that and protein supplements. My biggest challenge is IRON! I am severely anemic an that is why I am not a full fledged Veggie! I have tried before but got sick! It turns out I do not absorb iron from veggies and much as meat! :(

When Health is absent,

Wisdomcannot reveal itself,

Art cannot beome manifest.

Strength cannot be exerted,

Wealth is useless, and Reason is powerless

Take care of the body you have been gifted with...there is alot to be said for a healthy lifestyle which means great food that's nutritious and cooked well, exercise, play and pleasure, meditation and sleep and a whole lotta fun to be had in doing it all!!

This is the place to get started or keep on keeping on!!

Thanks Pisces: )

Genevieve- lol.. hey, at least you got some good recipes out of the deal. ;) I do not eat beef but substitute ground turkey instead- doesnt weigh as heavy on the intestines but I never turn down a good burger. ;)

That's awesome that you are almost vegetarian..where are picking up your extra protein and whatnot from?

Much Love,
Darlin' D

Okay...am rifling now...some have butter....but this isn't a vegan club so I guess it still works. Vegetarian FTW!

.....actually I am not a vegetarian but am trying to reduce my meat consumption! Semi-Vegetarian FTW! :-)

I'm liking this club! I used to date a Vegan Chef and I got all his lovely recipes in a binder. They are rather complicated but oh soooo fantastic! So creative. Well...he was vegan but did eat Honey...that was the only animal product he consumed. I will rifle through those recipes and maybe post some of the less complicated ones! The man was so talented...too bad he was a jerk...lol!! :)
